Prepared by Vaishnava devotees. Crafted with Hari Naam, devotion, and bhava
Every Annam Satvik spice blend is prepared by practicing Vaishnava devotees using carefully selected Satvik ingredients, without onion or garlic. During the preparation of every batch, Hari Naam japa is chanted with devotion, and each spice is crafted with the same purity, care, and bhava (devotional feeling) with which food is prepared for offering to Sri Sri Radha Krishna.
Prepared by Vaishnava devotees. Crafted with Hari Naam, devotion, and bhava. Made for every Satvik kitchen around the world.
Our Story
Annam Satvik began not in a factory, but in a home kitchen filled with devotion.
Our founder started cooking at the age of nine, learning traditional family recipes and developing a natural understanding of spices. Over the years, she became known among family and friends for food that made people pause and say, “This tastes different.” Many encouraged her to open a restaurant because of the depth of flavour she could create with simple, natural ingredients.
Later, she and her husband moved to New Zealand, where they lived and worked for twelve years. During that time, she remained deeply connected to devotional life and regularly performed seva at ISKCON Auckland whenever she had free time. She also prepared food offerings for Sri Sri Radha Krishna using spices blended in her own kitchen.
One challenge never disappeared: finding truly Satvik spices. While there were many products available for vegetarians, almost all commercial spice blends were manufactured in facilities that also processed onion, garlic, and other ingredients she did not feel comfortable offering to the Deities. For her, Satvik cooking was not only about taste—it was about purity, devotion, and intention.
Instead of compromising, she began preparing every spice blend herself at home.
The turning point came during a devotional function at an ISKCON temple in Nepal, where she used her homemade masalas for cooking prasadam. The devotees loved the flavour, aroma, and purity of the food, and several of them asked if they could buy the spice blends for their own homes. What began as a personal offering of devotion became the beginning of Annam Satvik.
Today, Annam Satvik is the result of a lifetime of cooking experience, devotional practice, and a sincere desire to serve the Vaishnava community. Every blend is prepared with the same care that goes into food offered to Radha Krishna—using carefully selected natural spices, without onion or garlic, and with complete respect for Satvik principles.
We created Annam Satvik for devotees, families, and anyone seeking pure, authentic Satvik flavour. We also created it for the countless devotees living outside Nepal, including those in New Zealand and around the world, who struggle to find spice blends they can confidently use for cooking and offering bhoga.
Our dream is simple: to bring authentic Satvik spices from Nepal to every home where food is prepared with love, devotion, and remembrance of Radha Krishna.
